Nishiyama Park
Nishiyama Park is a symbolic park in Sabae, recognized as one of the “100 Best Historical Parks in Japan. In spring, approximately 50,000 azaleas bloom, making it one of the best azalea viewing spots on the Sea of Japan coast. The park attracts many visitors throughout the four seasons with its cherry blossoms, azaleas, maples, and snow hanging scenery. The park also has a zoo, lawn, fountain, adventure forest, and Japanese garden, making it a relaxing park for adults and children alike. The red panda in the zoo is especially popular as the mascot character of Nishiyama Park.
